The XPOSED Queer Film Festival is turning 20 this year! What began as an experimental film night in a queer club has grown into an international festival dedicated to radical queer film and community-building. To celebrate this milestone, we’re bringing an expanded anniversary edition to 10 venues across Berlin!

This year’s program boasts 15 feature films and 59 short films from around the world, spanning documentary, fiction, experimental works, essays, and artistic pornography. In keeping with the XPOSED ethos, the focus of this year’s edition remains on films that resist simplified categorization in order to open up new perspectives on queer identities and experiences. Worldwide, queer visibility is increasing while also being commodified and politically contested. XPOSED continues to position cinema as a space of friction, one that embraces complexity and challenges audiences. This year, the program is expanded with a 4-day film retrospective, an exhibition featuring video art and VR installations, live performances and a Pop-Up Campus with workshops and panel discussions.
