In September 1940, 49-year-old Henri Marre arrives in Vichy penniless and without connections, with one goal in mind: a place in the new order, a career that lives up to his ambition. He quickly wins the favor of several dignitaries. Henri simply ignores the fact that, in doing so, he is increasingly becoming a perpetrator himself.
