In the final installment of Eric Rohmer’s “Four Seasons” cycle, the protagonists have reached the autumn of their lives. Nevertheless, they share the problems and worries of Rohmer’s other, younger characters: Magali’s children have moved out, leaving the widow alone on the vineyard. Her friend Isabelle tries to find a husband for Magali and begins screening the candidates herself.
