Ben considers himself a liberal gay man. He has a well-paid job and lives with his partner Raz in a chic flat in a migrant neighbourhood of Tel Aviv. Fortunately, the only thing the couple lacks is a child. To beautify their neighbourhood, Ben plants a tree across the street. But his well-intentioned act sets off a chain of events, at the end of which a refugee from Eritrea is brutally beaten up by police officers. Ben's image of himself, his relationship and even of society as a whole is thrown out of kilter.
