The play centers on Wolfgang Schnur, a lawyer, Christian, and Stasi informant for 25 years. In 1990, he almost became the first freely elected prime minister of the GDR. “Die Anhörung” is based on the authentic, final interview with journalist Alexander Kobylinski. In a kind of life confession, Schnur talks to him about his motives. Instead of an artistic adaptation, the focus here is on Wolfgang Schnur's original statements.
