Es war einmal in Ost-Berlin...

Documentary

55 min

-

When French filmmaker Cathie Lewy hears about the fall of the Wall, she moves to East Berlin and talks to the people of Prenzlauer Berg. There is Britt, the heroine of the film, who reflects on the new freedom to travel and the incipient sell-out of Prenzlauer Berg. The mood of farewell that characterized Prenzlauer Berg at the time is clear everywhere. The short films “Der Abend” and "Die Archäologen" trace the spirit of the post-reunification period a few years later.
