Shortly before the fall of the Wall, the mother of 21-year-old Alex falls into a coma. When she opens her eyes again eight months later, she wakes up in a new country that is now overrun by fast food chains and western cars. She is not allowed to experience any of this. Now Alex has to resurrect the DDR in 79 square metres of prefabricated housing.
