In early summer in a small Turkish village, Lale and her four sisters take a short detour to the sea on their way home from school, where they play with some boys. What should have been harmless fooling around unleashes a scandal with far-reaching consequences. From then on, prison-like conditions prevail at home. But the siblings, who have the urge for freedom and self-determination in common, try everything to defy the restrictions imposed on them.
