Over the course of eight years, the film follows Karla, a transgender teenager, in the small town of Tepoztlán, Mexico. As Karla navigates her gender affirmation and transition into adulthood, a moving portrait emerges that highlights the challenges and joys of a trans* identity in a rural setting.
