The sisters Sachi, Yoshino and Chika live together in a large house in the coastal town of Kamakura. The three young women travel to the countryside for the funeral of their father, who left the family 15 years ago. There they meet their half-sister Suzu, who is now on her own. Although they hardly know the shy 13-year-old, they quickly offer her the chance to move in with them. A new life begins for the four sisters.
