A medieval princess embarks on a dangerous mission to avenge her father's death. She fails and finds herself seriously injured in an otherworldly realm. There she meets an idealistic young man from our present day, who not only helps her heal, but also shows her the possibility of a future without bitterness and anger. But then she is confronted once again with her father's murderer.
