After the traumatic experiences of the Vietnam War, Mike (Hugh Jackman) struggles with his demons and turns to alcohol and drugs to numb the pain. However, his life takes a turn when he meets Claire (Kate Hudson), who shares his passion for music. Since neither of them write their own songs, they form a musical duo called ‘Lightning And Thunder’ and perform Neil Diamond classics.
