Financially ruined, actor Tony Hunter returns to Broadway in New York. A revue is supposed to help the once much-acclaimed Hollywood dance star make a glorious comeback, but he ends up with the wrong director. His surrealistic spectacle becomes a gigantic flop. But when the tireless actors finally take the initiative themselves, the play hits like a bomb.
