Josef Mengele, the former concentration camp doctor at Auschwitz, lives in exile under the name Gregor. Supported by a network of sympathisers and financed by his family, he manages to evade international justice for years. When his adult son Rolf tracks him down in São Paulo years later, a final, silent encounter between the generations takes place.
