For 80-year-old Lars Hammar, life as an ageing pensioner takes an unexpectedly dark turn: he falls into a deep depression. In order to rekindle his zest for life, his son Filip and his best friend Fredrik plan a road trip from Sweden to France. The documentary accompanies father and son on their emotional journey to the places of their past.
