From October 19 to 25, 2026, NewGen returns to Berlin with a program focused on the realities of young people today. Across shifting economic, social, and cultural landscapes in Asia and Europe, this year’s festival explores how youth negotiate identity, migration, precarious futures, and self-determination. The lineup features 6 feature films – anchored by our opening screening of JIN-ROH: THE WOLF BRIGADE and closing with THE WORLD OF LOVE – alongside 23 competition shorts spanning fiction, documentary, animation, and hybrid forms.

Opening and closing screening will take place at Neues Off, other feature films will screen at Rollberg, and the short film competition will be hosted at P60. Join us for a week of film, conversation, and shared connection.
