The Musikfest Berlin is the international orchestra festival of the Berliner Festspiele, organized in cooperation with the Berlin Philharmonic Foundation. From August 28 to September 23, the world’s best symphony orchestras and vocal ensembles will be performing in Berlin.

To mark the Ensemble Modern’s concert on September 18 at the Philharmonie, we will be screening the documentary about one of the world’s leading ensembles for contemporary music on two Sundays. The film offers an in-depth look at the work of the Ensemble Modern and the world of contemporary music. Director Thorsten Schütte accompanies the musicians not only on stage, but also during rehearsals and wherever music is created.
