On June 24, delphi LUX invites to a special screening of the documentary In Search of My Sister. The film follows human rights activist Rushan Abbas in her search for the truth behind her sister's disappearance and reveals the horrors of human rights violations against the Uyghur population in the Chinese 're-education camps'.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Rushan Abbas, the protagonist of the documentary and founder of the Campaign for Uyghurs. Carl-Victor Wachs, journalist and thinktanker (INSM), will moderate the Q&A.

About

The documentary follows human rights activist Rushan Abbas as she searches for the truth behind her sister's disappearance. Currently, up to one million Uyghurs are imprisoned in 're-education camps'. There are reports of torture, sexual violence and gross human rights violations. When Rushan Abbas' sister disappears, she mobilizes thousands of Uyghurs from all over the world and draws the attention of the global media and international community to the Uyghurs' situation in China.
