TO MY SISTERS tells the stories of three women fighting against the so-called Islamic State in northern Syria as part of the YPJ (“Women's Protection Units”) – a struggle for a society free from patriarchal violence and oppression, which went largely unnoticed in the West for a long time. We are screening the film in cooperation with the Kurdish Community Association of Berlin e.V., followed by a discussion with director Faek Falak.
