A story about friendship and the magic of Morocco’s west coast: In 2010, the young Basque adventurer Kepa Acero traveled alone to West Africa in search of secluded waves. In Morocco, he met a 15-year-old boy named Yassine. Although they could barely communicate verbally, they shared waves, tagines, and a wordless bond. Then Kepa moved further south, and they never saw each other again. Today, Yassine is known as “Snoopy Style” – a professional surf guide and a local legend in Taghazout. Fifteen years later, Kepa and Snoopy meet again for the first time. But life has changed – just like Morocco. Boutique hotels line the coast, and at Taghazout’s Anchor Point, digital nomads flock in search of Wi-Fi and waves. Together with filmmaker Ayoub Abouizza, they embark on a journey in KINGDOM OF THE EVENING to rediscover what once was: empty lineups, pure enthusiasm, and that elusive sense of freedom. But things don’t go as planned…

Watch as French surfer Arthur Bourbon, who made friends at previous travels through the country, together with Swiss NGO Provide the Slide brings more than boards – they bring hope, joy, and empowerment to a community hungry for change. Through the creation of a surf club, they inspire local kids and teens to ride the waves and unlock new opportunities.
