About

De Roller (Benoît Magimel), High Commissioner of the French Republic on the island of Tahiti in French Polynesia, is a calculating man with perfect manners. Between official receptions and seedy bars, he constantly feels the pulse of the local population, from which anger can rise at any moment. This is all the more true when a rumour persists: Allegedly, a submarine has been sighted whose ghostly presence heralds a resumption of French nuclear testing.
