In STRANGE RIVER, director Jaume Claret Muxart portrays the Danube as a majestic bearer of ancient mysteries, captured lyrically and dreamlike on 16-mm film—a contribution to the canon of queer coming-of-age stories, poetic and self-assured, full of longing and secrets. We will screen the film, followed by a discussion with director **Jaume Claret Muxart** and actor **Francesco Wenz** in English.

We’re screening the electrifying dance documentary THE BEAUTY OF BALLROOM as a Mongay Special, with protagonist and contemporary dancer **Aurora 'Sun' Labeija** in attendance, who will perform and will be available for a post-screening discussion in English. He entered the ballroom scene in 2015, initially as a member of the _House of Amazon_, before joining the _House of Labeija_ in 2023. In the ballroom scene, he is known as “Asian Father Aurora Labeija.”

For the first time ever, PFFB is hosting an exclusive “Foreplay” short film program in collaboration with Mongay – the night before the festival officially opens. Treat yourself to a showcase of hot, sexy queer shorts from this year’s lineup. Come enjoy them as they are, and let them get you properly warmed up for the main event.

Mongay PFFB 2026

<p>On November 9, 1989, the GDR&#39;s first gay film, &quot;Coming Out,&quot; celebrated its world premiere at East-Berlin&#39;s Kino International. Shortly after the curtain fell, the Berlin Wall did as well. Since 1997, we pay tribute to this story of the venue with our film series Mongay. Babylon Kreuzberg and City Kinos Munich are now also part of the series.
Admission to all events is restricted to persons aged 18 and over.</p>
