Filmtheater am Friedrichshain
Berlin 1942. The young Jew Cioma Schönhaus will not let himself be taken away from his zest for life or intimidated by anyone - especially not by the Nazis! He begins the proverbial flight forward. Together with his good friend Det he goes into the middle of life and among people - because in his opinion the best hiding places are where everyone is looking! With ingenuity, charm and a good dose of chutzpah, Cioma makes his way through life, inspired by Gerda, in whom he not only finds his great love but also his master of mimicry. His talent - the perfect forging of passports - helps many people escape, but puts himself increasingly in danger.
Following the Berlin premiere, we have a filmtalk with director Maggie Peren, the two actors Louis Hofmann and Jonathan Berlin, as well as the expert on Cioma Schönhaus and historian Martina Voigt.
