In I'M STILL HERE, director Walter Salles sheds light on a chapter of Brazilian history that is often kept secret. For her performance as a politician's wife who goes in search of her missing husband during the military dictatorship, Fernanda Torres received the award 'Best Actress - Drama' at this year's Golden Globes.  For the upcoming Academy Awards, I'M STILL HERE is nominated in the categories Best Picture, Best Actress in a Leading Role and Best International Film.  We are showing the moving drama as a preview.

About

Brazil, 1971: Rubens Paiva is an outspoken critic of the military dictatorship. Nevertheless, he leads an idyllic life with his wife Eunice and their five children. When Rubens is dragged out of the house by government officials, the Paiva family's life changes abruptly. Eunice begins a fierce battle against the regime. The drama, based on true events, helped to bring the stagnating reappraisal of the dictatorship's crimes back into public discourse.
