Marjane Satrapi's award-winning autobiographical masterpiece returns to cinemas, freshly restored in 4K, as part of an event screening on December 9, 2023 at the Delphi Filmpalast!

The screening will be followed by a film talk with Jasmin Tabatabai, who lends her voice to Marjane in the film.

About

Marjane is eight years old when the mullahs drive the Shah out of Persia and take power. The world is suddenly a different place, but the rebellious girl doesn't even think about submitting to the new strict rules. She would much rather discover punk, ABBA, Iron Maiden and, of course, boys. She has no idea that her playful protest is dangerous. Based on the cult comic novels of the same name, this is an unconventional, exciting and deeply human animated film for adults.
