Lesung & Gespräch: Daniel Cohn-Bendit und Robert Habeck
Cohn-Bendit and Robert Habeck in conversation
One of the most influential European politicians of recent decades: Daniel Cohn-Bendit presents his book “Erinnerungen eines Vaterlandslosen” in conversation with Robert Habeck.
Beginning with his birth in southern France and his childhood in Paris and Frankfurt, marked by his parents' flight and exile and his search for belonging, Cohn-Bendit describes his eventful life with astonishing candor—from the Odenwald School to May '68 in Paris, during which he was the center of international attention, to his work in establishing the Green Party in Germany and his years in the European Parliament. Van Renterghem, his interlocutor, encourages him to think critically and weigh things up. The former “Red Dany” does not appear as a hero, but as a reflective European who grapples with family traumas, political conflicts, and breaks in his life story.
