Aram Radomski’s secretly filmed footage of the Leipzig Monday demonstration on October 9, 1989, made headlines around the world. To many, he is a hero – but to his father, the writer Gert Neumann, he is an “agent of the West.” Father and son are no longer in contact. Through video messages, the film brings them into a dialogue: an intimate portrait of a family in which German history continues to resonate across three generations.
We’re celebrating the premiere of FATHER, SON AND THE PRICE OF RESISTANCE with a post-screening discussion featuring director Götz Schauder, producer Hubertus Siegert, and protagonist Aram Radomski.
