This summer, we're once again opening our Sommerkino at the Kulturforum. The season runs from mid-June to late August 2026. Our programme will be handpicked from the best films of the last cinema season – plus a few new releases – all of it right at the Kulturforum, with the breathtaking Potsdamer Platz skyline as your backdrop.To make it happen, we're looking for motivated, film-loving staff starting in early June – covering setup/breakdown, service, and box office. Schedules and opening hours may occasionally need to adapt to whatever the Berlin weather decides to do.
Your profile
- You love summer in Berlin and need the right job to go with your plans in the city.
- You are flexible in your work, absolutely reliable in your agreements, can get stuck in and see for yourself where you are needed on the job.

Your tasks will include
Set-up and dismantling
- Loading and unloading storage containers by hand or forklift (we provide training)
- Fencing off and signposting the site
- Setting up and dismantling the mobile cinema screen (189 m²)
- Windproof assembly of the screen by strong tensioning of ropes
- Setting up and dismantling the sound system and cabling
- Seating of the public area with 400-1000 chairs
- Supply of goods to the concession area
- Admission, ushering and runner activities between set-up and dismantling phases
- Basic attention to cleanliness of space and equipment
Service & cash desk
- Seamless supply of goods to the sales area
- Strict compliance with safety and hygiene regulations
- Sale of drinks and snacks
- Final goods logistics after closing timeCash register and inventory
- Basic cleaning of the area and equipment during daily operations
- Ticket control, customer service and information
- Guest list and contingent management

- Set-up and dismantling of the summer cinema (e.g. screen, chairs, fences)

Our requirements at a glance:
- Relevant professional experience in the catering industry or at events
- initial experience in the construction site/stage/event area or on film sets in set-up and dismantling is welcome
- physical resilience
- independent way of working
- A high degree of responsibility and conscientiousness
- weather resistance
- cross-divisional team spirit and flexibility
- basic willingness to work nights, weekends and public holidays
- good knowledge of German
- well-groomed appearance
- Possession of a health pass (red card)
- Class B driver's license (if interested in driving a forklift)
